Preparing a manuscript for publication involves more than polishing prose. A clear research question, transparent methods, accurate references, complete author metadata and appropriate ethics information all help editors and readers evaluate the work on its scientific merits.
Why manuscript version control matters in collaborative research
When several authors edit the same paper, uploading the wrong file version is a preventable but common problem. Consistent file names, clear ownership of the final submission and a last comparison against tracked revisions can reduce this risk.
What a complete submission should contain
Current Science Georgia’s public author guidance asks for a title, author names and affiliations, corresponding-author email, ORCID where available, abstract, keywords, structured main text and references. Ethics approval, funding and conflict-of-interest information should be supplied when relevant.
The online submission system accepts PDF, DOC and DOCX files. The abstract and keywords are also entered in the form, so titles, author order, affiliations and summary text should remain consistent between the uploaded file and the online metadata.
What editorial screening may examine
Editorial screening may consider scope, academic suitability, originality, ethical compliance, technical quality and completeness. Outcomes can include minor or major revision, further academic evaluation, acceptance into the publication workflow or a decision not to proceed.
Acceptance and the publication fee are separate steps
The journal currently lists an Article Processing & Publication Fee of 395 EUR. It is requested only after editorial acceptance; authors should not pay before an acceptance or official payment instruction, and payment does not guarantee acceptance.
Searchable and verifiable publication records
Published records can be searched by title, author, DOI or Zenodo number, article code and keyword. The journal publishes under ISSN 2667-9515 and maintains online archives and verification tools.
A practical final check
Before uploading, authors should verify the final file version, confirm that the abstract matches the main results, match every in-text citation to the reference list, check tables and figures, and make sure author names and affiliations are consistent throughout the submission.
